Hawks, Trails, and Beach - Saturday, September 15th, 2012

The Hawks, Trails, and Beach Walk enjoyed beautiful weather and a great American Kestrel show as we wound our way through the State Park. In addition to flying and perched Kestrels we watched Merlins eating dragonflies on the wing, and a young Bald Eagle circling overhead. Other highlights include a Pied-billed Grebe and an assortment of ducks, some coming into breeding plumage. Leaders: Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg, Cindy Bamford, and Lynne Breslow.
