Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, September 3rd, 2012

A little rain did not seem to bother the birds. Good views of both Blue- and Green-winged Teal. High water and not much shorebird habitat, but there were fly-overs including 1 Buff-breasted Sandpiper. Lots of gulls on the beach including 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls. Raptors were 2 Merlin and 2 Northern Harriers. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg, Steve Weis, Warren Cairo, Catherine Busch, Janet Crawford, and Marc & Lynne Breslow.
