Birding Cape May Point - Wednesday, September 26th, 2012

Very breezy which did not help in finding song birds, although we did manage Red-eyed and Philadelphia Vireo, as well as American Redstart, Common Yellowthroat and the ever present Palm Warbler. Lots of close gulls and terns (3 Parasitic Jeagers were seen after the walk) as well as 2 Northern Gannets. Raptors included 2 Peregrine Falcons and several Merlin. Highlight was at the brush pile where we found the continuing Clay-colored Sparrow and an elusive Lincoln's Sparrow!  Leaders: Mike Crewe, Karl Lukens, Steve Weis, Warren Cairo, Patty Rourke, and Chris Marks.
