Cox Hall Creek WMA - Sunday, May 6th, 2012

Cox Hall Creek WMA was ringing with birdsong throughout this morning's walk. First of season Eastern Wood Peewee sang in the parking lot and several mixed warbler flocks included Black-throated Blue, Black-throated Green, Northern Parula, Magnolia, Ovenbird, Blackburnian, Common Yellowthroat, Yellow-Rumped, Prairie, Blackpoll and Black-and-White Warblers. Three Red-headed Woodpeckers were quietly feeding in the tall oaks. Leaders: Kathy & Roger Horn, Shaun Bamford, and Mary Jane & Chuck Slugg.
