Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, May 14th, 2012

Numerous shorebirds flying over and some feeding in the flats including Short-billed Dowitcher, Least, Semipalmated, and Spotted Sandpipers, both Yellowlegs, and Killdeer. On the beach were the usual Piping Plovers and American Oystercatchers. Black Skimmers were hanging out with the Terns and Gulls in the shallow areas. Least Terns were numerous and courting on the beach. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Chuck & MJ Slugg, Steve Weis, Warren Cairo, Patty Rourke, Catherine Busch, and Carrie Bell.
