Bird Walk for All People - Saturday, May 5th, 2012

The Walk for All People was split into two groups; Group 1 started with the dune and Bunker Pond before we walked through the State Park.  Highlights of the walk include: Northern Gannets, American Oystercatchers, a Piping Plover in the exclosure, and Black Skimmers over Bunker Pond.  As we started across the marsh to go into the park we had an excellent look at a Green Heron.  In the park we had Blue-gray Gnatcatchers at their nest, House Wrens and Tree Swallows in nesting boxes, and Ospreys everywhere. Leaders: Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg, and Marc & Lynne Breslow.
