Birding Cape May Point - Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012

This was a walk full of surprises, from the early Least Tern over the beach, the tern-chasing Parasitic Jaeger offshore and the four very smart Bonaparte's Gulls on the railing, to the scruffy Lesser Black-backed Gull and the pugilistic Blue Grosbeaks. A nice selection of shorebirds had replaced pretty much all of the ducks on the ponds and a male Pine Warbler showed off beautifully. Leaders: Mike Crewe, Warren Cairo, Karl Lukens, and Chris Marks.
