Higbee Beach Bird Walk - Friday, April 25th, 2014

A slightly more spritely Higbee Beach this week produced Purple Sandpiper and a flight of 10 Willets over the bay, a close encounter with a fish-carrying Bald Eagle and an increase in the number of Field Sparrows in song. Newly arrived migrants included Black-and-white and Prairie Warblers, Blue-headed Vireo and at least 10 Hermit Thrushes. Leaders: Mike Crewe, Chris Marks, and Catherine Busch.
