Birding Cape May Point - Wednesday, April 16th, 2014

A very cold and breezy morning so we decided to check the feeders and ponds around the point and also the Coral Ave. dune crossover. The latter produced some good birds including two Lesser Black-backed Gulls, and fly-by Pectoral Sandpiper, Willet, and Cliff Swallow. A Wilson's Snipe popped up briefly on the edge of Lighthouse Pond. A flock of Cedar Waxwings were feeding on juniper berries at Lily Lake, and at the parking lot a Merlin flew over. Leaders: Mike Crewe, Karl Lukens, Megan Crewe, and Chris Marks.
