Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, April 7th, 2014

A cloudy, cold morning with some rain drops, but there were still a few ducks to see including Ring-necked, Bufflehead, Northern Shovelers, Green-winged Teal and a pair of Blue-winged Teal. Off-shore were a few Surf, numerous Black, and four White-winged Scoters, as well as one very close Red-necked Grebe. Raptors included two Northern Harriers and one Red-tailed Hawk. A nice adult Lesser Black-backed Gull was on the beach, while Red-winged Blackbirds were singing in the marshes. A couple of Palm Warblers were also seen. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Chuck Slugg, Mike Hannisian, Catherine Busch, and Chris Marks.
