Birds of Belleplain - Thursday, April 17th, 2014

A cold morning, 30 degrees at start, and rather quiet. We did finally find a few Pine, Yellow-throated, and Black-and-white Warblers singing as well as numerous Chipping Sparrows, nest gathering Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, and a White-eyed Vireo. We also found a few Eastern Phoebes and a couple of Eastern Kingbirds. Wild Turkeys were seen twice, and there were a couple of American Kestrels perched for scope views. Leaders: Bert Hixon, Karl Lukens, Shaun Bamford, Tom Baxter, and Michael McCabe.
