Fall Migrants at The Rea Farm - Saturday, September 17th, 2016

The Beanery still holds a mix of breeding species and migrant birds but at this time of year, it's impossible to tell which have been here all season and which are just passing through from further north. Clearly the American Redstarts and the Nashville and Magnolia Warblers are migrants, and probably the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds we saw today. But the Osprey, Great-crested Flycatcher, Double-crested Cormorant and Red-eyed Vireo may or may not be locals. It's an interesting time of year. Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Karl Lukens, Deb Payson, and Kyle Chelius.
