There were many Monarch and Buckeye butterflies feeding on the sunflowers and groundsel. We enjoyed a steady movement of American Kestrels, Merlins, and Sharp-shinned Hawks. There were a number of birds feeding in the rips including Laughing Gulls, and Great Black-backed Gulls, plus terns including Forster's, Common, Royal, and one Caspian. Leaders: Chuck Slugg, Warren Cairo, and Karl Lukens.
