Perched, scope-able birds are a treat and several were so obliging on this morning's walk. Several - including Indigo Bunting, Common Yellowthroat, Field Sparrow and Yellow-breasted Chat - sang as we watched. We had to re-trace our steps when the Prothonotary Warbler suddenly sang in the wet woods behind us, interrupting our viewing of the Mississippi Kite. Leaders: Kathy & Roger Horn, Karl Lukens, Cindy Bamford, and Carrie Bell.
