Even though it was overcast, foggy, and humid we had a good walk. Highlights include: finding the nest of a pair of Yellow-throated Warblers, a bird that has not been known to nest in the state park recently; Piping Plover pair chasing five American Oystercatchers on the beach so they may be trying to renest; American Oystercatcher chicks; Short-billed Dowitchers; Killdeer with chicks; Orchard Orioles; and an abundance of Yellow-breasted Chats calling. Leaders: Chuck Slugg and Warren Cairo.
