Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, June 18th, 2012

Good looks at waders, and Willets in the fresh water ponds. On the beach were very vocal American Oystercatchers including fledglings. Piping Plover at the plover pond. Several perched Common Yellowthroats were scoped. Off shore was a single Brown Pelican and several very distant Wilson's Storm-Petrels. An interesting fly-over was a World War II B-17 Flying Fortress! Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Chuck Slugg, Warren Cairo, Dave Lord, and Catherine Busch.
