Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, June 11th, 2012

We started with a perched and singing Blue Grosbeak at the parking lot, and a similarly performing adult male Orchard Oriole out the main trail. Shore birds included Willets, Piping Plover, and American Oystercatchers with chicks. First of the year for many was a singing Willow Flycatcher with good scope views. A fly-by Roseate Tern was seen by some. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Chuck Slugg, Warren Cairo, Steve Weis, Catherine Busch, Carrie Bell, Dave Lord, and Janet Crawford.
