Birding Cape May Point - Wednesday, June 6, 2012

The Wednesday walk at the state park provided us with some nice surprises today, as well as the delight of watching tiny American Oystercatchers babies taking their first tentative steps. A flock of 11 Glossy Ibises breezed all too quickly through, carrying with them an adult White-faced Ibis, while four White-rumped Sandpipers on Bunker Pond were a nice surprise. Two Yellow-breasted Chats were singing merrily in the park and a pair of Cedar Waxwings were carrying nest material.  Leaders: Mike Crewe, Chris Marks, Karl Lukens, Steve Weis, and Warren Cairo.
