Birding Cape May Point - Wednesday, June 25th, 2014

Offshore there were many Gulls and Terns working the rips, and one Great Shearwater was seen by one leader. It sat down and could not be relocated. There were also 34 Black Scoters and one Brown Pelican. Waders seen were Great and Snowy Egret, Black-Crowned Night-Heron, and Glossy Ibis. On the beach we had American Oystercatchers with at least one chick, and a Piping Plover on nest. Terns included Forster's, Common, Least, and one Royal.  Leaders: Mike Crewe, Karl Lukens, Chris Marks, Steve Weis, and Warren Cairo.
