It was another good Friday evening walk at The Meadows. Black Skimmers are back roosting on the beach at the Second Street jetty; great looks at a Green Heron; fantastic looks at a perched Cooper's Hawk; a variety of shorebirds including Semipalmated Sandpipers and Plovers; Least, Stilt, and Solitary Sandpipers with a Short-billed Dowitcher and a lone Western Willet on the beach with a flock of Sanderlings. Leaders: Chuck Slugg, Kathy Horn, and Deb Payson.
