Birding the Meadows - Monday, June 24th, 2013

A nice morning and good birds right from the parking lot. They included a Killdeer in the lot sitting on 4 eggs, singing Indigo Bunting, Blue Grosbeak, and Orchard Oriole, plus an Eastern Kingbird, Mockingbird. On the beach were several pair of American Oystercatchers with 1 chick, and a pair of Piping Plover on nest. A Willow Flycatcher gave us a nice view. Leaders: Karl Lukens, Chuck Slugg, Warren Cairo, Catherine Busch, and Janet Crawford.
