Birding Cape May Point - Wednesday, June 5th, 2013

All resident and breeding birds this morning. Waders consisted of Great and Snowy Egrets, and Glossy Ibis. Raptors included 4 Osprey, and a kettle of Black and Turkey Vultures, with 3 Red-tailed Hawks. Shorebirds were 1 Semipalmated Plover, 2 Piping Plover (one on nest), and 6 American Oystercatchers including a pair with 2 chicks. About a dozen Black Skimmers were on the beach. Also had good looks at Yellow-billed Cuckoo. Leader: Karl Lukens.
