Back Bay Birding by Boat - Sunday, September 26 2010

Dave Lord reports:

Sunday's Back Bay Birding by Boat trip aboard the Osprey really hinted strongly that Fall is coming. We enjoyed a roost of about 50 American Oystercatchers along Cold Spring Inlet's jetty, while a beautiful male Black Scoter bobbed in the background. A Peregrine Falcon gave us a bit of a show in the harbor as well. Even more impressive was the heron show around Turtle creek, with three Tri-colored Herons and a dozen immature Yellow-crowned Night-herons."
