Bird Walk for All People - Saturday, May 23rd, 2015

The weather was cool and sunny with a moderate breeze. The walk began with a Glossy Ibis flying over the parking lot and a lot of Purple Martins going in and out of the martin houses. Bunker Pond yielded a pair of Gadwalls, one Great Egret, one Snowy Egret, and several Mute Swans. As we continued, a sub-adult Bald Eagle flew over. The wooded area was quiet but we saw Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Blue Grosbeak, Indigo Bunting, Carolina Wren, Carolina Chickadee, and heard a Yellow-breasted Chat calling loudly. Leaders: Chuck Slugg, and Marc & Lynn Breslow.
