Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, November 11, 2013

We had a nice variety of ducks this morning including fly-over Wood Ducks, Gadwall, Mallard, Black Duck, American Wigeon, Northern Shoveler, Northern Pintail, Green-winged Teal, Ring-necked Duck, Hooded Merganser, and Ruddy Duck. Raptors included both vultures, Northern Harrier, Sharp-shinned Hawk, as well as Red-shouldered and Red-tailed Hawk. Other birds of interest were Eastern Bluebirds, American Pipit and, most interesting, a feeding flock of 15 Snow Buntings. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Chuck Slugg, Steve Weis, Catherine Busch, Carrie Bell, Janet Crawford, Mike Hannisian, and Jesse Amesbury.
