Although the weather was windy and cold, the Hawks, Trails, and Beach Walk had a nice variety of birds. Golden-crowned Kinglets dominated the marsh grasses where Yellow-rumped Warblers, and Savanah and Swamp Sparrows were also seen. A good variety of ducks can still be found on the ponds including the Eurasian Wigeon and Ring-necked Ducks. A large flock of Tree Swallows swarmed overhead. Leaders: Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg.
