Cape May Point - Wednesday April 6th 2011

For me this was the walk that kicked off the season - migration is under way so come on down!! American Kestrels whipping along the beach, Purple Martins at the boxes, Barn Swallows and a Cliff Swallow over the pools and Chimney Swifts overhead - plus the wonderful spectacle of 70 Glossy Ibises on Bunker Pond. Fabulous!

Karl Lukens caught this great shot of a fabulous Bald Eagle at Lighthouse Pond this morning - now is that a juniper or a cedar it's in?!!
