Birding the Meadows - Monday, July 24th, 2017

Lots of shorebirds to view including numerous Short-billed Dowitchers, Semipalmated  and Least Sandpipers, a Stilt Sandpiper, numerous Lesser Yellowlegs, Killdeer, and Semipalmated Plover. Waders included Great Blue Heron, 1 juvenile Little Blue  Heron, Green Heron, Snowy and Great Egrets, Glossy Ibis and 2 juvenile White Ibis. On the beach, we had several Sanderlings and at least 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls.  Leaders: Pete Dunne, Chuck Slugg, Karl Lukens, Bill Boyle, Karen Thompson, Janet Crawford, Pat Perkins, Mary Watkins, & Bert Hixon.
