Birding the Meadows - Monday, August 21st, 2017

Still lots of water and very few shorebirds. We did get Sanderling and American Oystercatchers on the beach, as well as 3 Semipalmated Sandpipers on a muddy edge. Also had 3 fly-over Red Knots, and 2 fly-over Lesser Yellowlegs. There were a good number of Common Yellowthroats, numerous Indigo Buntings, and a few Eastern Kingbirds and 1 Baltimore Oriole. Leaders: Bill Boyle, Karen Thompson, Karl Lukens, Steve Weis, Pat Perkins, Mary Watkins, & Michael McCabe.
