Birding the Meadows - Monday, August 14th, 2017

Too much water for shorebirds, but good waders including Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, Snowy Egret, with fly-over Glossy Ibis and Green Heron. Also a couple fly-over, "binking" Bobolinks. One Lesser Black-backed Gull, Sanderlings, and American Oystercatchers on the beach. We did encounter numerous Indigo Buntings, Orchard Orioles, and American Redstarts. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Janet Crawford, Karl Lukens, Bill Boyle, Karen Thompson, Pat Perkins, Mary Watkins, & Bert Hixon.
