Location: Stone Harbor Point
Observation date: 10/12/10
Notes: Sunset Birding at Stone Harbor Walk. Led by Warren, Mike, Gail, and Shawn with 23 participants. We enjoyed a nice summer like October Walk and started on the beach to enjoy the weather where we had good numbers of shorebirds including Red Knots Knots and lots of sea ducks passing by close offshore. We then went to Nummy Island where we added lots of new species including Marbled Godwits feeding on the exposed mudflats and Clapper Rails standing still along the marsh edge. A nice sunset ended another bird filled walk.
