Back Bay Birding By Boat - Monday, August 16, 2010

"Migration is heating up in the back bays of Cape May County, as was evinced by the great birds and happy birders aboard The Osprey this monday morning. The highlight of the trip was the stellar view of a Marbled Godwit, with some folks getting nice shots of it with their cameras. Semipalmated Plovers were everywhere and Whimbrel seemed to be piling up as well. Another unexpected treat was a Caspian Tern sitting on the marsh, for many, a first for the fall."
