Notes: CMBO Monday Meadows walk. D. Freiday, K.&J. Lukens, C&MJ Slugg, S. Weis, D. Lord, T. Parsons, J. Crawford. Hot, mostly clear, light wnw. King Eider drifted from off Bunker to off 2nd Ave with tide. Nice chicks on the beach.

Gadwall 10 Had been having ~ 3 pairs. 1 intriguing group of 4 males together, on center pool but flew off well, no wing molt
Mallard 45 2 large broods of downy young + a couple smaller broods and adults
King Eider 1 imm male
Double-crested Cormorant 2
Great Egret 1 flew in high from Delaware
Green Heron 1
Glossy Ibis 36 first 22 flew from cm city towards and past lighthouse over dune, another 13 came from west, circled, went back out past lighthouse - migrants/failed breeders/non-breeders?

Bald Eagle 1 adult
Piping Plover 5 1 mostly downy chick with 3 adults nearby + another single acting like a chick was near in 3rd plover pond (seemed to be distracting Fish Crows)

American Oystercatcher 11 inside symbolic fencing 1 pair with 3 chicks, 1 with 2 chicks + 1 pair flew over meadows low
