Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, April 25th, 2016

The Willets are back with two pair hanging about probably looking for a nesting spot. Other shore birds seen were one Wilson's Snipe, two Semipalmated Sandpipers and six American Oystercatchers on the beach. Off shore there was one Northern Gannet, numerous Forster's Terns, and one Parasitic Jeager was also seen. A sub-adult Bald Eagle put on a show a chasing an Osprey with a fish and finally ended up catching the dropped fish. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Chuck Slugg, Karl Lukens, Steve Weis, Janet Crawford, and Pat Perkins.
