Karl Lukens reports: "CMBO Birding Cape May Point Walk. Lots of shorebirds and waders as well as passerines. Nice looks at side by side Little Blue Heron and Snowy Egret and Great Egret trying to swallow a large Sunfish. Most of the expected sandpipers were also present many for close looks.The woods produced Yellow-billed cuckoo, Indigo Bunting, Cedar Waxwings, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, and numerous young Orchard Orioles. A Bank Swallow was seen from the Hawk Watch as we finished. The Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks could only be seen on Lighthouse Pond from Lighthouse Ave. or the exit Rd.
