Back Bay Birding By Boat - Tuesday, July 20, 2010

Dave Lord writes: "Back Bay Birding by Boat on the 19th was a good foretaste of things to come. Migrant shorebirds were not hard to come by, with many Short-billed Dowitchers, and Least and Spotted Sandpipers hanging about. We had a juvenile Yellow-crowned Night Heron, as well as a reliable Black-crowned Night Heron in his usual spot in Jarvis Sound. The Common Tern chicks are taking flight, while many of the Laughing Gull and Osprey chicks are still doubtful in their flying ability."
