Above Par Birding at Cox Hall Creek - Sunday, September 30, 2018

Beautiful Fall morning walk with 59 degrees and clear skies. Numerous Northern Flickers, Blue Jays and Red-breasted Nuthatches. At one point we watched 8 RBNU feeding in one pine tree pecking through the cones, with at least 4 more calling around us.
Additionally, we had scope view of an Indigo Bunting and a Blue Grosbeak side by side. A great comparison of their size and shape of two very similar birds in their fall plumage.
