Birding the Meadows - Monday, August 28, 2017

Lots of Tree Swallows overhead, on the beach and on the reeds. Also a few Purple Martins, and Barn Swallows were seen. On the beach a few American Oystercatchers and Sanderlings as well as the usual gulls. Shorebirds consisted of Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs. A Northern Waterthrush was seen feeding along the pond edge. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Bill Boyle, Karen Thompson, Karl Lukens, Pat Perkins, & Mary Watkins.
