Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, May 29th, 2017

Water levels high due to recent rains but still a few shorebirds such as five Semipalmated Sandpipers, two Willets, one Short-billed Dowitcher, and a Spotted Sandpiper. On the beach we had one Sanderling, several American Oystercatchers, and two Piping Plover - possible nesters. Land birds included Eastern Kingbird and Orchard Oriole. Overhead we had numerous Chimney Swifts. Leaders: Warren Cairo, Chuck Slugg, Karl Lukens, Steve Weis, Pat Perkins, Catherine Busch, Marc & Lynne Breslow.
