Birding the Meadows with Pete Dunne - Monday, July 14th, 2014

A nice day with a number of birds including Great and Snowy Egrets, and Glossy Ibis, Semipalmated Plover and Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper, both yellowlegs, and Short-billed Dowitchers. These birds were both feeding and fly-overs. On the beach we had two families of American Oystercatchers with one and two chicks, at least six Lesser Black-backed Gulls, and six Royal Terns. We also had singing Indigo Bunting, Blue Grosbeak, and Common Yellowthroat. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Steve Weis, Catherine Busch, Mary Watkins, Carrie Bell, and Mike Hannisian.
