Appalachian Bird Song Immersion Workshop - Day 1 - Friday, May 28 2010

Highlights of today's Appalachian Birdsong Workshop in Sussex County included a very aggressive Eastern Screech-owl, great looks at Barred Owl; best looks ever at Cerulean Warbler and a bunch of other species; a remarkable drumming Ruffed Grouse at Kuser Bog in High Point, which drummed 4 times between 1 and 3 p.m.; vocalizing Pied-billed Grebes, Common Moorhens and close to 100 other species.
