Birding Cape May Point - Saturday, August 3, 2019

A group of seven Wood Ducks was a surprise on Bunker Pond this morning. Camouflaged as they were in their eclipse plumage, they were easy to overlook among all the Mallards. Shorebird migration is well underway now and we saw both Spotted and Solitary Sandpipers, providing a good opportunity for comparison.
