"There's a
Western Kingbird over here!" came the shout from the Dike where Morning
Flight (monitoring) was going on. Our group, standing atop the wooden platform
across from the Dike, was able to pick the bird out from among the many
milling-about Eastern Kingbirds - a nice late-August surprise. We also had a
smattering of warblers throughout the morning but our most cooperative birds
were the Blue Grosbeaks that perched fairly close in front of the platform.
