Birding the Meadows - Monday, September 25th, 2017

A few scattered warblers were in the bushes including Common Yellowthroat, Palm and Yellow Warblers, as well as a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher. Some raptors were seen such as American Kestrel, Merlin, Cooper's Hawk, and Red-tailed Hawk. Ducks included Blue- and Green-winged Teal, Northern Shovelers, Gadwall, and Mallard. Wilson's Snipe was also seen and a Virginia Rail may have been heard. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Karl Lukens, Janet Crawford, Steve Weis, Pat Perkins, Mary Watkins, Chuck Slugg, and Warren Cairo.
