A exciting morning when the local bird alert told us to be on the lookout for migrating Red-headed Woodpeckers. We had two brief flyovers, and one that stopped on a large oak tree to look for insects for several minutes to the delight of all, especially for those who had never seen one before. We also had good views of a singing Prairie Warbler. Leaders: Brett Ewald, Chris Marks, & Catherine Busch.
