Birds of Nummy Island - Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017

The Nummy Island walk got off to a windy start. The tide was in so we had good looks at close-in shorebirds the highlight being a lone breeding plumaged Red Knot. The quest for a Clapper Rail continued, with very brief looks at one with many calling but remaining hidden. Leaders: Gail Dwyer, Shaun Bamford, Bill Smythe, Hugh Simmons, Michael McCabe and Warren Cairo.
