Longtails in Love - Saturday, February 18th, 2012

The Longtails in Love program started in Avalon, continued south along the ocean and bay, and ended at Lake Lily in Cape May Point. Although we looked at all things feathered, we concentrated on ducks and water birds. Highlights of the species sighted included Long-tailed Ducks, Black and Surf Scoters, many Red-throated and Common Loons, Great Cormorants, Horned Grebes, and assorted shorebirds. The weather was mild and sunny with a light wind that increased toward the end of the day. Leaders: Chuck & Mary Jane Slugg, Patty Rourke, Catherine Busch, Janet Crawford, Marc & Lynne Breslow.
