The second "Nightfall at Jake's
Landing" for the year featured balmy weather and brought several life
birds for enthusiastic attendees.... highlights were a plethora of Tundra Swans
and Eastern Meadowlarks as well as convergent Northern Harriers and Short-eared
Owls. For a worthwhile finale, participants were treated to displaying American
Woodcocks whose efforts were quietly curtailed be a flyover Great Horned Owl!
