Birding Cape May Point - Saturday, December 9th, 2017

The Point was beautiful in a blanket of fresh snow this morning. Yellow-rumped Warblers and White Throated Sparrows were everywhere and finally, the long-awaited Fox Sparrows showed up, scratching in the leafy edges, first-of-season birds for most of us. Purple Sandpipers have also arrived as regulars on the jetties and Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers were hanging out at the Circle, calling frequently. Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Michael McCabe
