Only the usual summer ducks were seen. On the beach we had 5-6 American Oystercatchers, 15 or more Least Terns, and a distant Great Shearwater seen by a few. Shorebirds were less numerous than in the past week but one "good" bird was a Red-necked Phalarope. A first-year male Orchard Oriole was sitting up and singing as we returned to the parking lot. Leaders: Pete Dunne, Chuck Slugg, Karl Lukens, Steve Weis, Janet Crawford, and Pat Perkins.
